What are model organisms?
Model organisms are non-human species used in laboratory research to understand biological processes. These organisms are usually small in size and are easy to maintain and care for, have short generation times and breed in large numbers. [1]

Model Organism for Studying ARNT
The model organism that will be used to study the ARNT gene is Danio Rerio because of ability to see the organism's heart, the location which the mutant phenotype will present itself. Danio rerio's heart is visible both to the naked eye and can be highlighted using dye to better show the CAD phenotype.
